Chemistry of Life Origin
Abstrakt
How life was created is a question that occupies scientists for centuries. But the real experimental approach to the problem started only after the War by experiments of Miller and Urey. Since then many experiments showed that some of the chemical reactions may spontaneously lead to polymer structures that are basic for today’s life. Especially important was the discovery of ribozymes, e.i. ribonucleic a cids that can catalyze their own transformations. Recent chemical synthesis of the complete genome of Mycoplasma is another step towards elucidating origin of life on Earth.Stahování
